Global Foundries – Albany, New York
Steve Talbott’s involvement consisted of:
BIM Modeling & Coordination
- Developed detailed electrical models for Fab, CUB, and support buildings using Revit and AutoCAD workflows.
- Integrated power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems into coordinated BIM environments.
- Collaborated with MEP teams to ensure clash-free routing and spatial compliance with cleanroom protocols.
Electrical Calculations
- Performed load analysis, voltage drop, and fault current studies for critical systems.
- Supported breaker coordination and panel schedules for high-reliability uptime.
Field Services & RFIs
- Responded to RFIs on conduit routing, fixture mounting, and equipment clearances.
- Conducted field walks to verify constructability and resolve installation conflicts.
- Issued redlines and drawing updates based on evolving site conditions.
Clash Detection & Resolution
Coordinated with structural, HVAC, and process teams to resolve spatial conflicts.
Led electrical clash detection using Navisworks and BIM 360 workflows.
